Tuckasegee River
The River Runs Through Bryson City on its way to Fontana Lake.
The Tuckasegee River, which stretches for 60 miles through North Carolina and divides downtown Bryson City, is designated as Delayed Harvest fishing, and stocked fall through spring with trout for anglers who enjoy catch-and-release fishing. The River is also known for its class I and II rapids, making it a gentler experience for family-friendly white water rafting, kayaking, canoeing or stand up paddleboarding (SUP). Cast your line, take a ride or simply enjoy the scenic beauty of this sparkling waterway.
